Merging Series is imbued with the
philosophical thought of merging in the vast universe. It is also aimed at the
mystical thought of discovering the Ultimate Truth of Brahman which
kindles a flickering light of illumination within a soul. The Merging Series was inspired
by a visit to Kanyakumari at the southern tip of India, a site where
three oceans meet on the threshold of the Kumari temple. From here you
can distinctly see the three oceans uniting as one. This experience of having
witnessed the merging of three oceans left a feeling of ecstasy that originated
from a sublime vision of unity with infinite nature. Thus Kanyakumari became my
Brahman. The
vital energy enters the cosmic source, the
senses dissolve in their cause, and
karmas and individual source are lost in Brahman the
pure, the changeless, the infinite. As
rivers flow into the sea and in doing so lose name and form even
so the wise man, freed from name and form, attains
the Supreme Being, the Self-Luminous, the Infinite.
