Art
is one of the highest forms of expression of the Spirit and nourishment for the
Soul. Great Art can make "the invisible" Spiritual World visible
to us through the use of signs and symbols in many creative ways (as expressed
by many notable artists and composers). It is a bridge, a connection with
the higher self, higher realities, with God and the Universe, higher states
of awareness, higher consciousness or other (spiritual) dimensions through
conveying or creating a spiritual reality.
Art is an expression of freedom of creation, reflecting the
infinite creativity and the infinite abundance of the Universe. Great Art
has always had an aspect of sacredness relating to the Miracle of Life,
life flow, and life energy as the energy of God constantly flows through
all living creatures. Great Art contains an inner perfection and ideal
harmony in many varieties, it is simple without being simplistic, and
sophisticated without being obscure - therefore it is Universal - it can
communicate and appeal across races or nationalities (like Mozart’s music
or Van Gogh’s paintings). The act of creating real Art brings to us unique,
one of a kind feelings and emotions, allows us to create or experience
forms and meanings that nobody else but you or I, could ever create or
experience. An artist walks with them in his or her mind and imagination
before they even see the light of day.
Across millennia human Art has expressed hopes, dreams, myths, and
legends of civilizations: bringing the Absolute to the realm of the
Relative; Timelessness into the realm of Time. While much of contemporary
Art preoccupies itself with the external trappings of life, the ego, the
outer looks, social conflicts, politics, negative emotions, the
survival, suffering, and struggles - through expressing problems of crazy
life, life in turmoil, life disintegrating, life out of balance, or a state
of life that calls for another way of living - the greatest visions and
achievements
of Art across history have transcended the "mundane" by embracing
the absolute values of Nature and Culture - in all of its forms: Music,
Poetry, Literature, Drama, and the Visual Arts.
The masterpieces of Art have been
able to show continuity of human Civilization through the growth of the
human spirit often projecting perspectives from higher planes and higher
dimensions. Sacred paintings have influenced the environment (their space)
in positive ways. All masterpieces have been visionary and have been able
to express a deeper message by bringing the realms of heavens and the ideal
world into our world, inviting the positive or even ideal vibrations
(sometimes through sacred geometry and magical colors) influencing the
environment and the consciousness of the viewer. Sacred Art and Music has
often created absolute beauty with ease & grace - expressing the
infinite perfection of the Divine…
In everyday life we tend to see everything through veils of our thoughts, ideas,
and opinions. Art allows us to have the pure and clean heart of a child
again. If you stop and meditate, you can see through your heart. Our
thinking is brilliant, wonderful, fantastic, but ... in addition to thoughts
there is also the field of Emotion, there is also the field of the Soul -
the Spirit, there is the field of Poetry and the Imagination, there is
Intuition, there is Yearning, and the wholeness would require holding the whole
Entity - combining them - in Art.
Art can be an open road that leads us to centers of light of the spiritual consciousness.
Images can be seen and heard, they soothe and relieve. From the blending of
perceptions springs inner vision. It helps us cross invisible distances
that separate us from the living light. Hearts open up, intuitions awaken;
the whole world radiates this new revolution where each face is an intimate
accomplice of infinite joys. Art is a living entity and can be one of the
highest forms of connection with God.
